I would say that I have combination skin - and have always found it difficult to find a face scrub that isn't too harsh (but still does the job!), or a face mask that wasn't too heavy or made my face feel super tight. But, I saw these (on eBay actually), and thought I would give them a try - primarily for the price! I paid £4.00 for the pair on eBay (so many sellers have Avon products on there!). You can of course buy them directly through an Avon representative, however I am unsure on the price because I don't have anyone local to me.
So - the application. I started with the face scrub (obviously), and the first thing I noticed was that it smelled great! I'm always a little wary when something contains "deep sea minerals", because although they're great for your skin, I always find that they smell horrible. But, with this product that was not evident at all. The consistency and texture of the scrub is also good. It's not too gritty, which I like, because as I said before I do not like a scrub that is too harsh. The instructions stated to massage onto the skin and leave to dry. I thought this was a little odd - I have never been told to leave a scrub on -but I left it on for a few minutes nonetheless. After rinsing, I noticed that my skin was feeling great! It felt smooth, and clean - as though it had had a good scrub, which - let's be honest ladies - we all need from time to time. I then moved on to the face mask - which had the same fragrance which was great. The mask itself is a mid-dark grey colour, which is a little off-putting, so I wouldn't recommend answering the door with this one on - but the dark colour does allow you to apply evenly to make sure that you have covered all areas. You are told to leave it on for 5-10 minutes, and during this time I was impressed that it dried - but did not go too firm. By this I mean that I was still able to move my face - I'm sure many of you have experienced a face mask that literally feels like you are wearing a mask! Again, after rinsing, I noticed that my skin felt fab!
All in all ladies - I would highly recommend this product! I have heard negative things about Avon products before so I was a little dubious, but I gave it a shot and I think you all should too! I have outlined a number of general pros and cons of the product below:
Pros: Price; Fragrance; Texture; Made skin feel lovely after rinsing
Cons: Off-putting colour for the face mask; Might not be accessible to people who do not have an Avon representative - but in those cases, do what I did and eBay it!!
